Methodology
KONCARD's first version is a preference-matching tool. It does not claim to predict approval.
How the score works
We map your answers to editorial preference weights, then score each card in the current dataset. The score is a product recommendation indicator, not an official bank score.
Source hierarchy
- Official bank product pages and official bank documents.
- Bangladesh Bank for regulatory and market-level facts.
- Secondary sources only for discovery; facts are not treated as verified until checked.
Verification
Each launch card has a verification flag and date. When a fee, eligibility rule or promotion has not been checked, KONCARD leaves it blank rather than guess.
Why there's no income question yet
An earlier build asked about monthly income but never used the answer — every card's minimum-income field was unverified, so there was nothing for the answer to match against. That question has been removed rather than left in as a decoration. It will come back once income eligibility is confirmed per card from official sources, and only once the scoring logic actually uses it.
Independence
A sponsored placement, if introduced later, must be clearly labelled and should not silently change the underlying match calculation.
